WZC Maasmeander

The residential care centre Maasmeander was officially opened in the spring of 2014, and offers 130 beds and 35 service flats. It is situated in the heart of Maasmechelen, right where a new part of town is being built. Other communal services, such as living and working (e.g. the city’s Administrative Centre and the Social Services) can be found in the vicinity.

Each residential care centre consists of a number of repetitive spaces and has a rational design to guarantee the most efficient care. This rational character has to be kept in balance with the human aspect (i.e. to make sure that the residents feel comfortable and at home). This balance can be found in the building’s design and interior.

Haelvoet is proud of having the opportunity to contribute to this wonderful project. We did more than our best to create a homely feeling for both the residents and staff.
